Short version, September 2026. kennebunkport.me is an early preview run by a local family.

What we keep

• Browsing: no accounts, no ads, no analytics or tracking scripts, and no third-party cookies. Our server keeps short technical logs (for example, the address a request came from) to run and protect the site.
• Hides and requests: when you hide something, send a removal request or contact us, we keep what you sent and a one-way fingerprint of your connection, so we can limit abuse. A contact detail is optional and used only to answer you.
• Owners: when you claim a listing we keep the claim, how it was verified, and the email or website used.
• Posts: if you post in Local voices, we keep your email to sign you in (never shown) and the name you choose to show.

Cookies

Only what the site needs: a signed cookie that keeps a verified owner or a signed-in poster signed in. No tracking cookies.

Other services

Map tiles load from OpenFreeMap and the map library from unpkg, so those services see your IP address and our site's address when a map loads. Listing photos load from where they are hosted (mostly Wikimedia Commons).

Listings about people

We list businesses and public places, not private individuals. We never publish a private person's home address. If a listing is about you or your home, tell us or use “Request removal” on the listing, and we'll take it down.

Your choices

Ask us to see, correct or delete anything we hold about you through the contact form. We don't sell personal information.
